On this episode of Agency Nation Radio, Jennifer Becker, Big “I" senior director of agent development, research and education, is joined by Andy Siegel, president of Siegel Insurance in Atlanta, Georgia, and chair of the Big “I" Council for Best Practices, and Katy Stewart, controller of Olis/Akers/Arney Insurance & Business Advisors in Springfield, Missouri, and a member of the Council for Best Practices. Together, they discuss the benefits of taking part in the Best Practices Study and the data that can be gleaned from it.
The Big “I" Best Practices Study is an annual report conducted in partnership with Reagan Consulting that analyzes the performance of the nation's leading independent insurance agencies to uncover and share methods, strategies and procedures for success.
Throughout the episode, the three chat about how agencies can use Best Practices data to help set goals and make decisions as we enter 2025, as well as how taking part in the study can be transformative for a business.
“The value of the data you get out is priceless," Siegel says. “You can position your agency to be more efficient and more profitable."
The Big “I" is currently accepting nominations for the 2025 Best Practices Study. Big “I" state associations and company partners can nominate agencies for the 2025 study cycle. Or, agencies can indicate their interest by submitting the self-nomination form by the end of January 2025.
