The Big “I" Legislative Conference is the industry's best-attended, most effective legislative meeting. This year's event provides an excellent opportunity to discuss important issues with congressional representatives and network with others in the industry.
Scheduled to be held April 10-12 at the Westin Washington, D.C. Downtown Hotel, the 2024 Big “I" Legislative Conference offers independent agents and brokers an opportunity to hear from high-profile Congressional speakers and connect with lawmakers and their staffs on Capitol Hill.

Wednesday, April 10. The conference kicks off with the Emerging Leaders Luncheon, which is a chance to recognize young, diverse and politically active agents. This Emerging Leaders Luncheon will also feature a fireside chat with a member of Congress where conversation will range from topical legislative issues to the unique role diverse lawmakers can play on Capitol Hill.
Following the luncheon, agents will head to Capitol Hill for the first of two opportunities to meet with congressional leaders. Later on Wednesday, major donors to InsurPac will be invited to mingle with prominent members of Congress at an exclusive private reception offsite. And our largest agents and brokers will be invited to dinner with top company executives for a program of Washington, D.C. insights.
Thursday, April 11. The day's programming begins with the Legislative Breakfast and will feature remarks from prominent members of Congress, as well as award presentations for top agent leaders.
Following the breakfast, agents will head back to Capitol Hill to meet with legislators. The day ends with the Legislative Conference Reception at 5:00 p.m., one of many great networking opportunities.
Friday, April 12. The Legislative Conference will wrap up over breakfast featuring a candid conversation between Big “I" President & CEO Charles Symington and another high-profile member of Congress. It will also feature the annual State of the Association address, which will be delivered by Big “I" Chairman Mike McBride.
Throughout the three-day event, there will be plenty of opportunities for Big “I" members to connect with representatives from many of our carrier partners and Big “I" national leaders in casual and informal settings.
