InsurPac, the Big “I" political action committee (PAC), raised $1,291,724 during the 2024 calendar year. A total of 3,227 donors invested an average of $400 per person.

Last year, 412 “major donors" gave $1,000 or more, 88 of whom stepped up with investments of more than $2,500 and 36 invested the maximum amount of $5,000.

Leading the charge of Big “I" state associations in 2024 was South Carolina, which defended its title of InsurPac National Champion by raising $116,913. Rounding out the top five in total dollars raised was Illinois ($66,540), New York ($58,983), Georgia ($58,336) and Massachusetts ($53,575). Overall, a total of 41 states achieved their InsurPac goal.

A similar story played out in the race for the Big “I" Presidents Cup, given annually to the state whose past and current state presidents or chairs contribute the most money to InsurPac. South Carolina once again took home the cup, raising a total of $31,510.

During the fundraising campaign, a record 20 states became InsurPac Eagle states by contributing an average of $100 or more per agency member. South Carolina was the leading state by averaging approximately $401 per agency. Other states to achieve Eagle status were Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee and Wyoming.

Meanwhile, young agents across the country contributed a total of $221,187. South Carolina completed the “Triple Crown" by repeating as National Champion, collecting a total of $29,430 from young agents. Georgia finished second with a total of $19,360 and Illinois came in third with $13,640. Thirty-seven states achieved their young agent InsurPac goal.

During the 2023-2024 cycle, InsurPac raised $2,609,748 and disbursed a total of $2,656,542 to 278 federal candidates. Investments to InsurPac spanning the last five decades have made it one of the largest small business PACs in the country and is credited with making the Big “I" one of the most well-respected advocacy groups on Capitol Hill.
