FOCUS: RT Specialty's Environmental and Construction Professional Practice (RT ECP) has been helping agents and brokers navigate the complex commercial insurance marketplace for 17 years. This includes the development of strategic risk management solutions designed to protect businesses from the challenges confronting contractors, property owners and developers.

RT ECP introduced this program to provide agents and brokers with access to an expedient and cost-effective method for helping their customers obtain coverage for the discovery of new pollution conditions at fixed locations.

COVERAGE DETAILS: The program is designed for first-time PLL buyers with new pollution conditions only. Coverage includes limits starting at $250,000 per claim and per occurrence, minimum self-insured retention of $5,000 and 1- or 2-year policy terms. Larger aggregate policy terms are available.

UNDERWRITING: The PLL Quoting Program was specifically designed to provide quotes within 48 hours. To obtain timely and bindable quotes for new pollution conditions, first-time buyers must submit their typical statement of values; address and descriptions of the properties to be covered; general contact details of the named insureds; and general liability, pollution loss and claims information from the past five years.

TARGET: Potential customers include owners and developers of properties representing the commercial office, retail, institutional, entertainment, health care, hospitality, manufacturing, warehousing and renewable energy industries.

In addition, the program can serve as a gateway policy for property owners to protect their properties from new pollution conditions.
