FOCUS: Smart SecureSM is a full-service customizable home security and smart home solution. Customers can pick out the devices they want to install and tailor their package to their home and lifestyle's unique needs. Insureds can elect to install the devices themselves or have them professionally installed.

COVERAGE DETAILS: Smart SecureSM is a value-added service for Selective customers that provides them with an added layer of protection. Some of the Smart SecureSM components also have risk management features that can help to improve customer risk profiles and mitigate claims, such as water sensors.
Smart SecureSM provides customers with access to integrated smart home security devices and monthly monitoring. Selective homeowners policyholders with Smart SecureSM are eligible for policy premium credits and can purchase the devices through smart-secure.com. It also gives homeowners the tools to protect their unique home, including:
- Interactive security. Emergency response, unusual event alerts, arming reminders and more.
- Smart home automation. A system that learns the home's activity and responds to any changes.
- Advanced video monitoring. Video clips and alerts sent to the customer's Smart SecureSM mobile app.
- Energy management. Efficient energy savings with smart lighting and thermostat equipment.
- Risk mitigation. Automated water shut off if a leak is detected in the home.
TARGET: Smart SecureSM was designed for any homeowner who wants to protect their home from fire, theft, frozen pipes, or just wants to be able to monitor their home while they are away. Generally, these are customers that have high-value assets and multiple homes.
COVERAGE AVAILABILITY: Smart SecureSM is currently deployed in New Jersey, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Arizona. This fall, it is launching in California, Georgia and North Carolina for flood customers, as well as Ohio for flood and personal lines homeowner customers.
